Christmas Part 3 (The Murphys)

The Murphys drove out from Atlanta, and got here a couple of days after Christmas. We got to spend the week with them. Cade was spoiled and we all had a ball. It's always fun to get to see Conrad and Ann.... thanks for coming guys!

Christmas Part 2 (The Smiths)

We drove up to Idaho Christmas afternoon to spend the weekend with my family. My dad suprised us with this little rocking chair that he *made* . He gave this same chair to me when I was Cade's age for Christmas. Somewhere down the line of 6 kids, the legs were broken off of the chair. My dad fixed the legs and restained it, and gave it to Cade. It's so cute. My dad is awesome.Cade also went on his first snowmobile ride with my dad, which is basically a defining moment in your life if you're a Smith.
And then there was Dallin.... Cade loves Uncle FD (Firedog Dall as we call him)... Dallin is basically a non-stop circus. He is constantly throwing Cade in the air, holding him up to "walk on the ceiling" and all sorts of craziness, but Cade thinks it's great.

Apparently I was having too much fun to take very many pictures... but we had such a fun visit!! Thanks guys!

Christmas Part 1 (Our House)

On Christmas Eve, Cade got to open his new snowsuit, and got to try out his new sled with dad...

We celebrated Christmas morning at our house, with just the three of us. It was so fun watching Cade get so excited about his presents... but he would get upset with us whenever we would pull him away from one gift to try to show him that there were more to open. Cade got a little basket ball hoop, and I was a little nervous that he might not be ready for it yet, but the first thing he did was walk up and put the ball through the hoop... I don't think that he's ever seen a someone shoot a basket before, so I guess boys must be born with the instinct?? Of course he got some cars and trucks... the boy LOVES anything with wheels...

We had a wonderful Christmas. I love these two guys more than anything, and being with them on Christmas is the best gift I could ever ask for.
