Getting older is not so bad...

BEST. BIRTHDAY. EVER.
Russ took me out for a night away from the kids (my first time!). We went to dinner at The Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. After dinner, we stayed at the Hotel Monaco. It was very fancy and I felt spoiled :) It was so nice to have a break from everything... no kids, homework, or housecleaning calling my name. Russ and I were able to have an entire evening to ourselves with no interruptions! Crazy!

Looking out from our room...

Breakfast at Bambara...

Russ will play along with my cheese when it's my birthday :)

"Where they gonna lay out the ice?"

Cade started hockey camp this month. When we pulled up to the rec center for his first lesson, he said, "where they gonna lay out the ice, mom?" When his coach came into the gym and layed out all of the sticks for the kids to pick from, Cade just started saying "wow! wow!" He could care less about all of the rules of the game, but he sure likes to run. I hesitated putting him in, because I was afraid he would use the stick as a weapon... but so far... so good.

Gorzola Park

Last Saturday, we took the boys to Gorzola Park in Park City. It was probably one of my favorite Saturdays ever. The boys were absolutely adorable. Cade tried skiing for the first time, and loved it... until he couldn't stop and ended up tangled in the snow fence. Coleman fell asleep on the little kids' tube pull. He would cry every time they stopped it to let another kid on. As soon as it started up again he would go right back to sleep! Cade and Coleman's favorite part though was racing each other down the little hill. I love these boys!

Like Mommy

MOST of the time, the boys are trying to be like dad. They wear his hats, take his tools, and take his phone. But when I'm getting ready in the morning, they are always hanging on my legs and trying to take "mommy's tools". I put them on the counter one day just to get them off of my feet, and they went to work!

Transformer Shirt

Russ ordered Cade a Transformers t-shirt the other day. He opened the package and just started laughing and clapping his hands, he was so excited. He kept trying to look at his reflection in the oven door, so I helped him up on the counter so he could get a better look. I think he likes it :)
